GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

The Chatham Performing Arts Boosters provide financial and hands-on volunteer support for K-12 music and theatre program activities within the School District of the Chathams.

 

During the 2019 - 2020 school year, CPAB provided more than $35,000 in funding to support six performing arts scholarships for CHS seniors, special workshops, new performance attire, field trip transportation, audio & lighting equipment, and more!

Ronan Green

Ronan is studying at The Boston Conservatory as a Musical Theater BFA student. While at CHS, Ronan participated in Select Choir in the honors music program and played trumpet for CHS Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. He participated in Fall Plays and Spring Musicals. As Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame he received a Paper Mill Rising Star honorable mention for Best Actor in a Musical. Ronan was a member of the NJ All-State Choir ('17,'18,'19), Regional Choir and qualified for Nationals and Governors awards. He participated in CPAC and Broadway Under the Stars, and was president of the all male Acapella group Chacafellas.

Dylan Salinger

Dylan is studying at Skidmore College and will double major in Technical Theatre and Computer Science. While at CHS, he was a member of the CHS Choir, CHS Select Choir, and the Chacafellas a cappella group. He also served as Sound Technician for CHS Fall Plays, Spring Musicals and Broadway Under the Stars, and was cast in the Godspell Spring Musical.

Julia Raskin

Julia is studying at Washington and Lee University, pursuing a major in the humanities and world languages. While at CHS, Julia participated in Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Pit Orchestra on Flute, as well as the Jazz Ensemble, playing both Piano and Flute. She also auditioned into the North Jersey Area Band and ensembles at the New Jersey Youth Symphony.

Nathaniel Eck

Nate is studying at Rutgers University's Honors College. While at CHS, he participated in Chamber Orchestra, Honors Select Choir, All-State Chorus, Chacafellas, Marching Band, Fall Plays (Foxy Award nominee for his role as John Proctor in "The Crucible"), Spring Musicals, Broadway Under the Stars, Director's Showcase, Governor's Awards, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and International Thespian Society. Emily Lamb is studying at the George Washington University, pursuing a major in Political Science. While at CHS, Emily participated in Chatham Voices Choir, Honors Choir, No Strings Attached, and Broadway Under the Stars.

Clare is studying at University of Maryland School of Music, pursuing a major in violin performance.  While at CHS, Clare participated in Chamber Orchestra, and was the Fiddler in CHS’s production of Fiddler on the Roof.

Taryn is studying at Moravian College pursuing a double major in Music (vocal performance) and Nursing. While at CHS Taryn participated in Chatham Voices Choir, All-State Choir, Region 1 Choir, Morris Area Honor Choir, No Strings Attached, Fall Plays and Spring Musicals, and Broadway Under the Stars.

Emily is studying at Oberlin.  While at CHS she was an active participant in the Fall Plays and Spring Musicals, and a Governor Award winner in Improvisation.

Liam Driscoll

Liam is pursuing his BFA in Musical Theater at Montclair State University. While at CHS Liam was active in Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Select Choir, All-State Choir, Area Choir, the Governor Awards, the Fall Plays and the Spring Musicals, and Broadway Under the Stars.

Matthew Markay

Matthew is studying political science at American University, singing a capella and in choir. While at CHS Matthew participated in Select Choir, Varsity Vocals, All-State Choir, Area Honors Choir, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, the Fall Plays and Spring Musicals, and Broadway Under the Stars. He also was a Governor award winner and directed a student troupe in 21 Chump Street for the CHS Director's Showcase.

Olivia Grace is studying at the University of Delaware. While at CHS she was a member of the Chamber Orchestra.

Lindsey is studying at Lehigh University where she is in the Marching Band.  While she was at CHS Lindsey was in Wind Ensemble and Marching Band, and participated in Chatham Voices Choir and No Strings Attached.
